Do you require deposits?
We typically only collect deposits for office dedicated desk rentals. As for talent hiring, we collect reserve payments in rare circumstances. This is a form of financial security that enables us to pay employees even if the customer is unable to pay us. Other EOR providers charge additional deposits for offering PTO above the legal minimum, removing probation periods, incentive plans, and monthly severance accruals. We don’t.
What if I want to terminate the hired employees?
In the event that you choose to terminate the contract, you must provide a 3-month notice period to Remotee. During the 3-month notice period, you may continue to work with the employee without any additional penalty. However, if you decide to stop the engagement completely, Remotee will charge you a 3-month service fee. If the contract is terminated after the contract period, no fee will be imposed.
If the particular employee is terminated because of poor performance, Remotee will do its best to provide you with alternative candidates to prevent disruption to your business.
How do you handle currency conversion and foreign exchange rate?
All elements on the payslip that are in a different currency than the billing currency are converted using our partner’s FX Rate. In this case, we are converting using Wise.com. This ensure a full transparency between you and Remotee.
Does Remotee has a minimum number of hiring or engagement?
You can use Remotee to hire employees with no minimum requirements or fees. Whether you’re hiring your 1st employee or your 1000th employee, we’re here to help you scale.
How much control I have to the hired employee?
You have full complete control over your employees hired by Remotee. Remotee will provide support and assistance to help you with payroll management, day-to-day management like attendance/leaves/etc, and provide physical support to ensure their wellbeing is taken care of, on the ground.
Does Remotee charge any onboarding or setup fee?
For hiring, yes, we do charge a one-time $500 USD onboarding fee per new hire. For office spaces, no setup fee is required.
However, if we fail to find any suitable candidates for you, it will be completely free as we only collect payment upon a confirmation from you that you intend to hire the candidate.
Is Remotee for affordable than competitors?
Totally. Unlike other competitors who charge a percent off your hired employees, we only take a fixed monthly rate. This ensures that you can scale, increase your employee’s pay, and provide bonuses, all without any additional fee.
At Remotee, we do not penalize your business when you want to reward your employees; in fact, we fully support it!
Which currencies does Remotee support for billing?
You can select the currency you’d like to be billed in when you onboard with Remotee. You can choose from:

- Singapore Dollar (SGD)
- United States Dollar (USD)
Where can my hired employee work?
Remotee is able to provide your employee with a dedicated work desk in our Madurai office. They will have access to fast WiFi, Air-con, phone booths for having a 1-to-1 call with you, a meeting room, and most importantly, one of the best working environments they can get in Madurai. All these for an additional $90/month only.
Additionally, if you need a computer or laptop for your employee, we do have a loan system available.
